Respondents to Aptitude Research Partners’ 2018 HR Impact Study cited retaining talent as a top human capital priority by a margin of nearly 2-to-1 over hiring externally. Of course, ongoing success is about more than just keeping people on the payroll. To keep them engaged and keep the company moving forward, organizations also need to make sure their development and succession planning are aligned with retention goals.
