Retaining key talent is always a top priority, but possibly never more so than now. The US economy continues to grow and unemployment remains at historic lows, meaning it’s harder than ever to find talent externally. Respondents to Aptitude Research Partners’ 2018 HR Impact Study cited retaining talent as a top human capital priority by a margin of nearly 2-to-1 over hiring externally. Of course, ongoing success is about more than just keeping people on the payroll.
