On May 18, 2016, the Department of Labor released its final rules on overtime as a part of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which will go into effect on December 1. At the core of this legislation is the rule that anyone working 40 hours or more per week at a salary of less than $47,476 is now eligible for overtime.
